Two leads in Leonida
A failed score draws Jason and Lucia into a conspiracy across Leonida.[2]
Jason Duval
Jason served in the Army before working for drug runners in the Keys.[1]
Jason grew up around con artists and criminals. His later time in the Army was an attempt to leave his troubled teenage years behind.[1]
After the Army, Jason ended up in the Leonida Keys working for local drug runners. Rockstar describes him as wanting an easier life.[1]
Jason lives rent-free in one of Brian’s properties. In return, he helps with local shakedowns and occasionally visits Lori.[1]
Rockstar presents meeting Lucia as a possible turning point for Jason, while leaving the outcome of their shared story open.[1]
Lucia Caminos
Lucia wants the better life her mother dreamed of back in Liberty City. After prison, she intends to follow a deliberate plan rather than rely on wishful thinking.[1]
Lucia is released from Leonida’s penitentiary.[1]
Lucia lived with her mother in Liberty City.[1]
Lucia’s father taught her to fight as a young child. Her profile links her imprisonment to fighting for her family, without naming a specific offence.[1]
Lucia’s introduction describes a life with Jason as a possible way out, tying her personal future to the other lead character.[1]
Brian Heder
Brian’s business is rooted in the smuggling scene of the Leonida Keys. His boat yard and properties connect him to Jason’s everyday life.[1]
Brian lets Jason live rent-free in return for help with local shakedowns.[1]
Brian runs his smuggling business through a boat yard.[1]
Brian runs the boat yard with Lori, his third wife. He comes from an older generation of Keys smugglers and now leaves some of the dirty work to others.[1]
Cal Hampton
Like Jason, Cal is an associate of Brian Heder. His official profile emphasises staying at home and his suspicious view of the world.[1]
Cal is Jason’s friend.[1]
Cal listens in on Coast Guard communications.[1]
Raul Bautista
Raul is an experienced bank robber seeking talented accomplices for risky scores. Rockstar portrays him as charming and cunning, with growing recklessness raising the stakes for his crew.[1]
Bank robber Raul is looking for a crew willing to take risks.[1]
Boobie Ike
Boobie is a prominent local figure in Vice City. He built a business empire spanning property, a strip club and a recording studio after his time on the streets.[1]
Boobie is particularly invested in his record-label partnership with Dre’Quan Priest. Rockstar’s introduction says Only Raw Records still needs its breakthrough hit.[1]
Dre'Quan Priest
Dre’Quan made a living dealing on the streets but always wanted to enter the music business. His profile presents him primarily as a hustler.[1]
Dre’Quan has signed Real Dimez. He has been booking acts for Boobie’s strip club while aiming to make a larger mark on Vice City’s music scene.[1]
Real Dimez
An early hit with local rapper DWNPLY helped Real Dimez rise. Five years and considerable trouble later, Bae-Luxe and Roxy are signed to Only Raw Records.[1]
Further connections
Lori is Brian’s wife. The public excerpt describes a wider variety of NPC body types. Individual physical features are also described as more distinct.[1][3]
Rockstar’s premise puts the pair’s dependence on one another at its center.[2]
